Our yoga retreat will take place in the breathtaking Rhodope Mountains, a vast mountain range in southern Bulgaria. This stunning area is a vibrant mosaic of open landscapes, oak and beech forests, grasslands, and rivers, interspersed with rocky slopes and cliffs. With relatively low human impact, the Rhodope Mountains boast pristine landscapes and an incredible diversity of habitats and wildlife. Home to a rich number of bird species, among which 23 species of raptors, the mountain is renowned as one of the most important and captivating wild regions in South-Eastern Europe. Beyond their natural allure, the Rhodope Mountains are steeped in history and folklore, Rhodopa Mountain is situated at the crossroads of Europe and Asia and influenced by the Mediterranean. This unique location provides today unique glimpses into ancient times, history and folklore, adding a rich cultural layer to their ecological significance.
